Motorists are experiencing considerable hold-ups near Baypark, where the roundabout system there is clogged following a truck and trailer unit losing its load.
A shipping container has rolled off its trailer and is now sideways at the roundabout intersection of Maunganui Road, State Highway 2 and State Highway 29.

While the whole intersection system is clogged and traffic is moving slowly, the worst affected motorists are those travelling from Tauranga to Te Maunga.
