Among Baypark operator Tauranga City Venues Limited's three new board members, is Chiefs franchise chairman Graeme Elvin.
He is joined by former Jennian Homes chief executive Bernie Gillon and IBM employee Daryl French.
The new board is promising Baypark will host some new events in the years ahead.
Also appointed is Karen Gemmell as TCVL's new business manager, a role designed to attract new events to the venue.
The new appointments come after the departures of former board members Grant Seagar and Tony McCartney.
TCVL chairman and former All Whites coach, John Adshead, has praised the appointments as "fantastic".
"It's brought new skills to the board. We have a spectacular board that are very positive. They have a great desire to complete our vision for Baypark," says John.
Karen comes to the role with a lot of experience in business management, says John.
He says the board will announce two new major events for Baypark within the next two weeks. John says one of those is the already publicised World Sprint Championship, but would not reveal the second event.
"I don't think anyone will recognise Baypark in three years time because of the new events we will attract to the venue," says John.
