Parents and children braved the early morning cold to play soccer at Waipuna Park this morning.

This is the second week of the official winter sport season in Tauranga.

Around 400 children are taking part in the Waipuna Football Club with ages ranging from five to 15.

Teams can have up to 10 players, using rolling substitutes.

The duration of all matches are 20 minutes, 10 minutes each half, with halftime a one minute period.
