Motorists are warned to expect delays on Hewletts Road this weekend as road works this weekend.

The NZ Transport Agency says contractors will be works in the Tauranga bound lanes, from the city side of Jean Batten Drive/Maru Street intersection to the Totara Street intersection.

These will be carried out from 2pm Saturday to 12pm Sunday.

'Traffic be diverted into both the bus lane and the lane next to the central concrete barrier while these works occur,” says a statement for the roading organisation.

'Motorists are advised to drive with care and to expect minor delays whilst the traffic management is in place.”
