Tauranga's own 24 hour Happy music video is now on YouTube for all to see.

Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' song features a music made over 24 hours, with the four minute song repeated, and showed people dancing in the streets of Los Angeles.

Jade Williams, 8, Pedro Abrao, 2, and Anahera, 4, and Tamanui, 7, Rei dancing on Salisbury Wharf.

Rise Up Tauranga member Rosalie Crawford organised the Tauranga community to do their own version of the video.

She says Tauranga is a happy city, so wanted to show that.

'When I saw the Pharrell story on Oprah I thought – ‘hey we could do this in Tauranga',” she old SunLive prior to the video being made.

The video features a group of 10 people at Mount Drury, a group of roller skaters, people of all ages, shapes and sizes.
