Kasey and Karena Bird will face Queenstown friends Jaimie Stodler and Bec Stanley in a two-hour finale airing on TV One at 7.30pm.

It has been an exhilarating ride for the sisters, age 25 and 23, who have been favourites since making the top 15 with their cream paua ravioli dish.

Last week they secured a spot in the final by impressing judges – Ray McVinnie, Josh Emett and Simon Gault – with two replicas of Michelin star-winning chef Michel Louws' beef dishes.

Tonight the two pairs will face three challenges to decide who will win the first couples MasterChef title and more than $100,000 in prizes.

The 2014 MasterChef New Zealand final is on tonight at 7.30pm. Keep watching SunLive for coverage of the results.

Karena and Kasey can be followed on Facebook.
