Weekly traffic report

Work gets underway on roads around Greerton's town centre this week with motorists advised to take care.

Night-time road works will be undertaken around the Greerton township from this week.

Tauranga City Council advises major maintenance works will be undertaken at night in the suburb centre.

Work will also start on improving sight lines exiting the Civic Administration car park on Hamilton Street at Tauranga City.

Ongoing Work

Work is continuing at the following sites; please take care when driving through these areas:

  • Girven Road - alterations to Patterson Street, Hawea Street and Grenada Street intersections.
  • Maranui Street/Sandhurst Drive - speed restrictions will in place, expect some delay during peak traffic periods.
  • Welcome Bay Road - widening and reconstruction between Ranginui Road and the city boundary (near the hot pools).
  • Ultrafast Broadband - Ultrafast Broadband installation is taking across the city. Most of the work is being done off the road, however if you experience any problems associated with these work sites please call 0800 FIBRE LTD (0800 342 735).

move stupid islands and aprons, 2 New lights at Hospital already having faults, 3 11th ave islands + entrance ways to mcdees etc still not fixed, 4 bayfair exit to Maunganui rd still not widened for heavy transport, 5 Maunganui rd (golf-Dee) still not increased to 60kph, and the list goes on
