Weekend Te Puke SH2 road works

Road resurfacing works on State Highway 2 between Bell Rd and Atuaroa Ave, north of the Te Puke township, will be undertaken this weekend.

Motorists travelling along this patch of SH2 are advised the works will begin tomorrow from 7am to 6pm and carry on Sunday from 7am to 6pm, says the New Zealand Transport Agency.

Road works are taking place on SH2 north of Te Puke this weekend.

Two-way traffic flow will be maintained during the two days of resurfacing works, with a 30 km/h speed restriction in place.

Motorists are advised to keep to the posted 30 km/h temporary speed limit. The timing of the works has been arranged to minimise disruption to travellers.

The work requires dry weather, so if inclement weather occurs this weekend the resurfacing will be postponed to the following weekend.

The NZTA would like to apologise to motorists for any inconvenience and thanks them for their patience while this important work is being undertaken.
