Night time works in Te Puke

Motorists travelling overnight through Te Puke are being advised to take care as road resurfacing works begin later this week.

From Sunday, road resurfacing works on State Highway 2 will begin at the northern end of Te Puke, between Atuaroa Avenue and Oroua Street, with a stop/go manual traffic operation in place.

The night time works start at 7pm each night, continuing until Thursday March 13, and finishing at 6.30 every morning.

The works are part of the New Zealand Transport Agency's annual maintenance work ensuring the road is capable of carrying heavy traffic during the next 10-20 years.

Motorists are advised to keep to the temporary 30km/h speed limit while the NZTA apologises for any inconvenience.
