More than 100 cars are parked up on Mount Maunganui College grounds today for the inaugural Show Off Your Wheels auto show.
Organised by Les Creswell, the event is a fundraiser for Mount Maunganui Rotary Club and is a chance for car-lovers to, as the name suggests, show off their wheels for the day.
About 175 vehicles are on display including a sleek and sporty Denny Hulme Supercar, two of the fire service's newest rescue vehicles, military vehicles, VW Combi vans and a 1959 Morris Mini Minor – a mini which is reported to be the oldest in New Zealand.
The show runs until 4.30pm today at Mount Maunganui College grounds.
Daniel Hines was there at the opening to capture some of the action.
