Cricket-fans can enjoy some swinging action today as the SkyCity Northern Knights set Mount Maunganui alight with sharp bowling and swashbuckling boundaries in one of two crucial matches of their 2013/2014 HRV Twenty20 campaign.

The men in pink, led by Bay of Plenty's Daniel Flynn, will explode into action at Bay Oval, Blake Park, Mt Maunganui 4pm by lining up against the Canterbury Wizards.

SkyCity Northern Knights take on Canterbury Wizards at Bay Oval from 4pm.

If you're keen for flutter, the Interisland Summer Festival Tauranga Races is on today at Tauranga Racecourse, Cameron Rd, Greerton kicking off at 11am until 6pm.

Or if you're wanting to hit the sand, Mount Maunganui's Main Beach will sport some of the latest popular stars from ‘The X Factor NZ' from 12 noon until 6pm, when the Coke Loves Summer tour arrives.

Benny Tipene, Moorhouse and winner Jackie Thomas will perform in the free concert.
