Police are investigating a crash this afternoon after a car smashed into a phone pole on Windsor Road.
Police and the Tauranga Fire Brigade were called to the scene just before 2.15pm after the vehicle collided with the pole.
The car involved in the crash suffered minimal damage.
A reporter at the scene says the crash didn't block the road to traffic.
'One vehicle was involved in the crash and it appears no one was injured.”
Police are talking to witnesses to ascertain what happened.

Put all poles in the middle of the road since vehicles seem to hit them where they currently are - on the side of the road!
