An exhibition of new work in the disciplines of art, fashion and graphic design will be on display in the Tauranga CBD this week.

The exhibition will officially open tonight and will be open to the public from 11am-4pm during the week and from 10am to 2pm on the weekend.
Oragnisers says it will showcase the diversity of research such as digital textile prints by fashion tutor Debbie Shepherd and winner of the Shell Sustainable Award at the 2012 24th Brancott Estate World of Wearable Art (WOW).
Debbie has designed her own eclectic 'Identity” digital textile prints, which include inspiration for pattern taken from her personal belongings such as jewellery and her award winning embellished motorbike.
International Graphic Designer Tabrez Ahmad posters ‘Vietnamese Hyper Happiness', generative artwork created using the Hype Framework and inspired by a recent trip to Vietnam, says a release from the bay of Polytechnic.
'Printmaker Nicol Sanders-O'Shea uses the process of screen-printing to construct the work, built up in several layers to subvert or disrupt the implied meaning and hung in a set of repeated decorative shapes to imply order, routine and repetition within the domestic domain.
'Fashion designer Donna Dinsdale's garment ‘WHAKAWEHI” (Protection) is inspired by the foreshore, often a controversial topic, but ultimately a treasured gift for the people of Aotearoa.
"Photographer Anne Shirley depicts a sensory experience; playing with the notion of the referent as integral to the photograph, questioning the presence of that referent."
