State Highway 29 in the Lower Kaimai was closed Sunday night while the aftermath of a truck and tractor crash was cleared.

The truck hit a tractor parked on the side of the highway about 4.30pm, leaving the truck cab poised over a bank, about 300m on the Hamilton side of McLaren Falls Road.
At 5.45pm one lane was reopened. A crane arrived about 6.30 and the road was again closed while the truck was lifted clear. State Highway 29 was again reopened at 7.42pm. There were no injuries reported.
