Final disruption on bridge

This week there may again be traffic disruptions around the new harbour bridge as New Zealand Transport Agency begins some final works on the Mount Causeway.
The works include laying a final surface layer on the eastbound section of the causeway which was chip sealed just prior to Christmas.

Tauranga-bound traffic will be reduced to one lane whilst this work is carried out.
When finished this final road surfacing task will mark the completion of the Harbour Link Project.
NZTA project manager Kevin Reid says that the work is being undertaken at night to minimise disruption to motorists.
'The final road surfacing was delayed until after the peak holiday season to minimise the impact on traffic. We expect this work to be completed over a three-night period from Sunday.”
