Speed restrictions along the Maungatapu Causeway bridge are now 100km/h after temporary speed limits following a fatal crash this month were lifted.
Speeds along the bridge from Maungatapu to Mount Maunganui were lowered following the crash that killed Tauranga man Greg Woledge on the night of August 13.
Maungatapu Bridge repairs are complete.
The 24-year-old was driving his work van towards Welcome Bay when police say it appears another car crossed the centreline into the van, which was shunted through the railings over the side of bridge into the harbour.

Police are still investigating the incident.
Speed restrictions were lowered to 50km/h while contractors worked to repair the bridge.
The NZ Transport Agency says these have since been lifted and the normal posted speed of 100km/h is now in place.
Motorists are advised to take care when crossing the bridge.
