Tauranga police say two men who burgled four Tauranga schools on Monday night were arrested outside the Brookfield New World on their way to a fifth school.
A 19 year old man of unknown occupation from Pillans Road and a 22 year old man also of unknown occupation from Bush Street Gate Pa, each face four burglary charges.

Crime scene unit senior constable Greg Finlayson fingerprints the Tauranga Intermediate canteen.

Sergeant Ross Bielby says the pair broke into the canteens at Tauranga Girls' College, Tauranga Intermediate, Otumoetai Intermediate and Otumoetai College.
Tauranga police were this morning waiting to hear what was stolen.
'From three of them they might have ended up with nothing,” says sergeant Ross Bielby. 'They didn't get away with too much. At one they just did some damage.”
He believes they took some confectionery.
