Work to repair the Ruahihi Bridge in the Lower Kaimais is complete.

An expansion joint replacement project began on Monday at 7am and brought the road down to one lane.

NZ Transport Agency expected the work to take about five days, but the project finished ahead of schedule.

Speed was reduced to 30km/h but is now back to the normal sign posted limit.
