The new look service has officially launched, with new timetables, routes and fare structures.
SunLive has been contacted by many passengers who are unhappy with the timetables and routes.
One Tauranga woman is even considering home schooling her child because there is no way she can get her child to school on time under the new timetable.
Hamilton based company Go Bus is the new contractor for the bus service, which is owned by Environment Bay of Plenty.
'Whenever you change something, there are always winners and losers. Nothing is perfect. Our staff did a lot of work looking at the new timetables and looking at effective routes,” says Andrew.
He says while there might be some people complaining about the routes and timetables, overall the service is more frequent.
'We have had really good feedback from people on the service. A lot of people don't like changes but overall the timetables and routes are more effective,” says Andrew.
Andrew is encouraging Bay Hopper passengers to let the new service settle in and is promising to review timetables and routes every six months.
