Chapel Street delays

Motorists travelling on Chapel Street next week are warned of possible delays, due to lane closures from Monday, June 29, as road reconstruction begins for the Harbour Link Project.

Lanes will be closed from the Chapel Street and Marsh Street intersection to the Mobil service station on Tuesday night, June 30.
The closure will be in place for about 10 days but work is weather dependent.
NZ Transport Agency project manager Kevin Reid says most work will be carried out at night and one lane will be open in both directions during this period.
'For a few days motorists will travel on compacted metal or new chip seals and speed restrictions will be in place. Where possible, take an alternative route or allow more travel time as delays are expected,” says Kevin.
