Jetstar launches 1 cent fares

It's time to break the piggy bank or check under the couch for loose change as it can buy you a flight across the country with Jetstar this week.

The airline has launched a sale across its domestic network with seats on sale for one cent each.

Jetstar is offering 600 airfares every weekday between 6pm and 7pm with a total of 3000 seats on offer at one cent each.

Jetstar group chief commercial officer David Koczkar says the campaign is aimed at reuniting family and friends.

The one cent sale began last night and has been very popular with travellers from all around New Zealand.

There is a booking and service fee of $5 per passenger. Fares are available to purchase via website only.

Tickets are one way, non-refundable and may not be available on all flights or days.
