Emergency services are responding to the scene of a crash at Mount Maunganui.

"[There are] reports of a two-vehicle crash on Hewletts Road near Aerodrome Road, reported at 4.19pm," says a police spokesperson.

"The road is not blocked. Injuries are not yet reported."

Waka Kotahi NZTA ask that motorists please follow the directions of emergency services or response crews in the area.

Traffic delays are likely in the surrounding roads.

"Diversions may be required."
