Police are responding to a two vehicle crash on the intersection of Amohau Street and Tutanekai Street, Rotorua.
The crash was reported around 10.20am.
"The Serious Crash Unit has been advised," says a police spokesperson.
Amohau Street is blocked between Fenton Street and Amohia Street, and diversions are in place.
"Follow the directions of response crews in the area," says a Waka Kotahi NZTA spokesperson.
Motorists are advised to expect delays.
The road will be closed until further notice.
