State Highway 29A between Maungatapu and Mount Maunganui will be closed for six nights next week for roadworks to take place.

Due to resurfacing works SH29A will be closed between Maungatapu roundabout at the Welcome Bay Link Rd and Te Maunga overnight, from 7pm to 5am, from Sunday to Friday, November 19-24.

During closures Truman Lane, including Baypark, will only be accessible from the Sandhurst Drive interchange.

An alternative route for light vehicles is to detour via State Highway 2, Elizabeth Street, Cameron Road, Fifteenth Ave, Turret Road, and Welcome Bay Link Road.

Heavy vehicle and HPMV will need to detour via SH2 and SH29 Takitimu Drive Toll Road.
