More than 7000 people attended the Tauranga Home and Leisure Expo at the TECT Arena at Baypark during the weekend – a number organisers are pleased with.
Show organiser Graeme Martin says considering the other activities happening in Tauranga at the weekend, including the waterfront opening, he is pleased with the turnout.
Carpet Court won Best Home Stand at the Tauranga Home and Leisure Expo at the TECT Arena at the weekend.
'May is our big show and this is our little show and for a little home show it went very well,” says Graeme.
'This weekend the people who came, came for a reason.”
Introduced for the first time to the expo this year, the Renovation Court was the highlight of the weekend proving beneficial for exhibitors, says Graeme.
'There was quite a bit of buying going on.
'It was about quality rather than quantity.”
Graeme says with a huge amount of interest, the renovation court helped to build relationships between exhibitors and shoppers.
'It's about contacts and new relationships in the future. I thought it was smart business.”
Carpet Court was the winner of the Best Home Stand while Palmers won Best Alfresco Stand and Canoe and Kayak Bay of Plenty claimed Best Leisure Stand.
