State asset sales impact delay

The big news on the markets this week is the delay in the partial sale of Mighty River Power.

The Government announced on Monday it is postponing the sale of state owned assets until March to June 2013.

This makes a tight timeframe between the first sale of Mighty River Power in 2013 and the next general election.

The other big news on the markets this week is the bankers meeting in Jackson Hole in the United States.

It appears the US is contemplating potential ease but at present data shows a steady recovery coming through.

Growth in China appears to be weakening however this could be a minor blip and Chinese authorities are ready to react to stimulate the economy if necessary.
