One person has suffered serious injuries in a traffic collision near Whangamata.
Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on State Highway 25/Tarirua Rd.
The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle was reported to Police just before 4pm.
NZTA advise that SH25 is closed between Port Rd and Harry Watt Dr and traffic management is in place.
"Please delay your journey or use an alternative route," says an NZTA spokesperson. "Follow directions of emergency services."
