Power is out in Te Puke as contractors replace a pole damaged in a crash.

A SunLive reader has emailed a photo showing a damaged power pole on Cameron Road in Te Puke.

"Power is off as workers replace a pole broken off at ground level."

According to Powerco, 219 properties are without power in the area.

Power went off around 10am and is expected back on around 5pm.
