UPDATE 6.05PM: Traffic is congested after a crash on State Highway 29A this evening.

The crash is said to be between the SH29A/36 roundabout and Barkes Corner roundabout.

Tauranga City Council is advising that traffic is delayed in the area but that tow trucks are inbound to clear the road.

Police confirm they were notified of a two-vehicle crash on the road at around 5.30pm.

There are no reported injuries.

EARLIER: Trafffic is blocked after a crash on State Highway 29A this evening.

The crash is said to be between the SH29A/36 roundabout and Barkes Corner roundabout.

Tauranga City Council is advising that traffic heading east, towards Cameron Rd, is blocked.

The crash is also causing delays heading in the other direction.

Council are advising to use alternative routes.
