NZL pushes for Sulphur Point position

NZL Group's plan to re-establish a presence on Sulphur Point have moved one step closer, the transport group says today.
NZL subsidiary, Sulphur Point Container Terminal Limited, has submitted details of its proposed operation to Port of Tauranga Limited, says director Ken Harris.
The group previously operated as a marshalling company and stevedore before 2004 following its take over of P&O Ports.
NZL Group expects to operate at Sulphur Point next year.
The only comment available from the Port of Tauranga was that public commitment is premature as there are still important contractual issues to be resolved.
