The Splice Construction Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic have announced their injury replacement for versatile midcourter Asher Grapes.

Midcourter Tori Kolose has joined the Magic for the 2021 ANZ Premiership season.

The 21-year-old has previous ANZ Premiership experience with the Northern Mystics in 2018, and more recently as a training partner with the Northern Stars.

Asher suffered a ruptured ACL in December and will miss the ANZ Premiership Netball season with a knee injury.

'Tori is a dynamic and skillful midcourter who also has a strong background in touch and athletics, so she also brings a unique approach,” says Magic head coach Amigene Metcalfe. 'We are excited to welcome Tori to the Magic after the hard work she has put in to grow her game and forge her way back into the ANZ Premiership.”

Meanwhile, Ivana Rowland and Katie Te Ao have been named as 2021 training partners.

Midcourter Teuila Sotutu has been added to the Robinhood Northern Stars roster as Tori's replacement.

The Magic get their season underway on April 18 against Northern Mystic.

Their first game in Tauranga will be against the Stars on May 2.
