Calling all super-talented Tauranga residents – from singers, dancers and musicians to stunt artists, acrobats and animal performers.
New Zealand's Got Talent is coming to the Bay this week and if you have talent – whatever the genre – they are looking for you.
Jasmine Poole singing Eta James' At Last.
Otumoetai College student Jasmine Poole is auditioning for the show and chose to sing Eta James' At Last when interviewed by SunLive.
'It's like deep and soulful and that's the type of music I like.”
She says she is nervous about the audition, but excited at the same time.
'I want singing to be my career and I just want the whole world to know who I am and my talents.
'My inspiration is Jennifer Hudson because I like soulful voices and I think she produces really great music.”
Tauranga auditions for the new entertainment series, based on the popular international version, will be held at Baycourt Community and Arts Centre on Durham Street on Wednesday, May 30 from 4pm – 10pm.
The New Zealand's Got Talent team have been scouring the country for talented Kiwis since April and will finish in Auckland on June 9.
Auditions can be a maximum of two minutes long and candidates will be told via email whether they have made it to the second round on June 18 or not.
The auditions are open to all talents including solo acts, group performances, singers, dancers, stunt acts, comedians, animal acts and child performers.
There is no entry fee and no age limit.
If you are unable to make it on Wednesday auditions can be submitted online or by sending in a DVD of your act.
The show, hosted by Tamati Coffey, is offering a grand prize of $100,000 and will be aired later in the year on TV ONE.

In the words of Randy, Yo Jasmine, you started off good but somewhere along the way you got a bit lost to what tone you were meant to be singing in. You need to take control of your voice. Maybe some coaching will see that voice take off on a better keel. I do see a future though for your singing.
big, TOO BIG!!

You have some real potential. Glad to hear you've been training in anticipation - prepare for the opportunity, then when it presents itself you can take it. That's luck, and yours is good. Go for it little kiwi :)
GO Girl!
