People travelling over the Kaimai Range via State Highway 29 are being warned to expect delays.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says a truck has broken down near the summit.
"It's in the left lane on the Matamata side, just below the summit.
"Traffic is building up a little bit."
According to Google live traffic reporting, there are some delays along the highway but nothing significant at this stage.
