UPDATE: The Waikato Expressway is now partially open in both directions.

Motorists are urged to take care and drive to the conditions.

EARLIER:

A crash has closed the Waikato Expressway this morning.

The crash occurred at 6.20am, between Whangamarino Road and the Hampton Downs Road off-ramp.

Two cars were involved, says a police spokesperson.

"Nobody has been injured.

"Motorists are asked to take alternative routes where possible."
