One person is dead following a crash in the Bay of Plenty.
A police spokesperson says a car had been found off the road on Galatea Road around 7am.
'The driver died as a result of the medical event he suffered.”
Meanwhile, emergency services were called to the crash on State Highway 29, between Ngamuwahine Road and McLaren Falls Road, just before 5am.
A police spokesperson says they received a report that a car had collided with a median barrier on a bridge.
The vehicle has since been towed from the crash scene.
