Resurfacing night works are scheduled to take place along State Highway 2, Mount Maunganui, from this Sunday.

According to the NZTA, the resurfacing works will be undertaken between Aerodrome Road and Newton Street, and Aerodrome Road and Macdonald Street.

'Night works will only be carried out on Sunday, January 12, to Tuesday, January 14. Work hours will be from 7pm to 5am each night.

'Consider using an alternative route.

'One lane will be open in both directions during the works.

'A 50km/h temporary speed limit will be in place.

'All lanes will be available between 5am to 7pm.”
