Bay of Plenty trainer Anthony Fuller will be looking for a big run from his horse, Roger That, with the running of the Orora Kiwi Packaging Kiwifruit Cup this Saturday at Tauranga Racecourse.

From 26 starts, it's only been out of the stake money four times, notching up five wins and just on $100,000 in prize money.

The Tony Pike trained Redcayenne, with a similar record to Roger That, along with the top weight, Highlad, are expected to be his main rival, says Racing Tauranga general manager Andrew Love.

'Sleeping Beauty and New York Minute head the feature listed race - Race eight: The Ultimate Ford and Mazda Tauranga Classic.

'Sleeping Beauty is backing up after a win in the Group three Rotorua Stakes, whilst New York Minute, after winning two trials, finished 6th two weeks back. Central Districts' visitor Art Deco should also feature in the finish.”

Other local trainers Peter Huxtable, Mark Blackie and Jim Pender all have good chances.

Huxtables Come Back Tiger, won (after an inquiry) at Auckland and is racing in the Dobsons Refrigeration 1400.

'The win before Auckland came back in December, in Tauranga.

'Blackies, Joy Anna has been racing in solid form and lines up in Race four, The Seeka Premier.

'At her last start, two weeks back, she was last at the turn but ran home strongly for 3rd, whilst Pender's best chance comes in the last, with Falkirk Lass,” says Andrew.

'In her last race over 1200, she closed off strongly for 5th and will relish the extra 200 meters.

'Pender's other horse, Dude with Attitude, has been out of form since winning at Tauranga late last year.”

Fuller has two horses - Windy Heights and Rodmar - entered in Race seven, whilst Brian McKeagg has Powalign, having its second start in Race two.

Andrew says the track is in great condition and on Thursday was a heavy 10.

'The nine race programme gets underway at 11.28 and entry to the course is free.”
