Blue Light Tauranga has, unfortunately, had to postpone their Kids Gone Fishing event due to be held today, Sunday February 24.

The postponement, announced on Friday evening was due to the weather forecast.

Their Facebook post read:

"Unfortunately, we have to postpone our Blue Light Kids Gone Fishin' Day this Sunday 24th due to bad weather. We are all disappointed here at Blue Light Tauranga, but as much as we try, we can't control the weather. We are hoping to hold the event on November 3rd, so save the date! We hope you all have a safe and happy weekend!

"We are disappointed here at Blue Light as the Police were really looking forward to hanging out and fishing with the kids! We wish you all a safe and happy weekend and hope to fish with you all soon."

This morning about 7am, Blue Light Ventures Tauranga confirmed that the day was still postponed due to the weather that had been forecast to hit Tauranga today.

The next Kids Gone Fishing day is expected to be held on November 3, 2019.
