The person killed in a motorcycle crash in Cardrona has been named as a Bay of Plenty man.
Aaron Garth Hoey died following a crash between a motorcycle and a car on Crown Ridge Road on Monday.
The Whakatane man was 47 years old.
"Police extend their sympathies to his friends and family," says a police spokesperson.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
