A main highway in Tauranga which has been closed for most of the day, has now reopened.
Bay of Plenty Police have taken to Facebook to announce that Cambridge Road is now fully open and they are thanking the public for their assistance.
The road was closed following a fatal motorcycle accident.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Sycamore Rise and Cambridge Road at 4.31am.
A police spokesperson says the rider died at the scene.
'The Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene.”
