A woman has been injured after a car she was driving crashed into a shop in Tauranga this afternoon.
St John says she's been transported to Tauranga Hospital suffering moderate injuries.
A Chadwick Road Foodmarket employee says the car was parked in front of their shop.
'The woman had gone shopping and returned to the car, but instead of reversing she drove into the shop,” he says.
'There's been considerable damage to the building and to goods in the shop.
'We are now working on repairs to ensure we can close the shop tonight.”

Wow again ,there are many of these in Tauranga but never hear that they happen in other centers in New Zealand.I would say someones going to get seriously hurt or killed when they or many are collected and pushed through the windows of shops ,the thought scares me.I think all the shops in Tauranga should have to have bollards in front of the cars in the car park.
Goodness me

most cars make a noise in reverse, no noise must mean wrong gear, not hit the gas and see what happens!! such a busy footpath at times thank goodness no one else was hurt.
