Sri Lanka will need to chase down 372 to take the first ODI tonight at the Bay Oval after the Blackcaps reached the massive total of 371/7, highlighted by Martin Guptill's 138 off 139 balls.

It was the opener's 14^th ODI century, and second in succession against Sri Lanka at the Bay Oval after achieving the same feat three years ago.

During the innings, his first in national colours since returning from a calf injury, he brought up his 6000^th ODI run.
