Traffic delays and congestion are to be expected on State Highway 2 today, between Katikati and Tauranga.
The southbound lane is expected to start clogging up from 11.30am until about 6.30pm.
Road users are advised to expect delays and allow extra time for their journeys when travelling through this area, specifically through Whakamaramara.

Radical thought! Instead of constantly warning us about congestion, how about making the road suitable for servicing NZ's major exporting port and one of its premier holiday resorts. NO, didn't think so.
