Titles on the line at National Sevens in Tauranga

Both men and women will be playing at the national tournament next month.

Waikato and Manawatu will be looking to defend their respective Men's and Women's titles when the 2018 TECT National Sevens embarks on the Tauranga Domain on Saturday 15 December.

The tournament concluding on Sunday 16 December will feature twenty eight teams from across the country, as they compete to claim their respective Men's and Women's national titles.

The TECT National Sevens will provide the community with a great day out for the whole family. With a selection of only the best Little Big Markets food trucks coupled with great entertainment and activities for the whole family to enjoy in the More FM Family Fun Zone.

It will be a place where people can hang out and enjoy their surroundings, enjoy great music, good food and the flare of rugby sevens.

Tournament Director David Pearce says affordability was a key driver to get people along and support the 28 teams taking part.

'With the tournament to be held just over a week before Christmas, it is a great excuse to spend the weekend at the sevens watching some fast action rugby. With games being 14 minutes long and 78 games to choose from, there will be something for everyone. It was important for us to deliver a great ticketing offer for people to enjoy this.”

TECT National Sevens tickets can be purchased from Dash Tickets with ticket prices starting from $15 for adults, $10 for students, $5 for children under 15 and under-fives are free. Family concessions are also available.
