Police have released the name of the 11-year-old girl killed in a bus crash near Tongariro National Park.

Hannah Teresa Francis, from Auckland, was killed when a bus crashed on Ohakune Mountain Road on Saturday.

Acting Whanganui Area Commander, Inspector Sue O’Neil says police extend sympathies to Hannah’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“Any passengers in the crash or witnesses who have not yet spoken to Police are urged to get in touch with their local Police station.

“The Commercial Vehicle Safety Team, CIB and Serious Crash Unit continue to investigate.”
