Te Puke Sports takes Baywide crown

Te Puna's Te Aihe Toma scored all his side's points but it wasn't enough to overcome Te Puke

Te Puke Sports are the Bay's club rugby champions, taking the title at their Murray Salt Stadium HQ with a 27-13 win over Te Puna this afternoon.

The home side needed a converted try and a brace of penalties late in the second spell to secure the win over a valiant Te Puna side in a tension-filled encounter in front of several thousand spectators.

Earlier their development team set up a great day for the Kiwifruit Capital with a 27-22 win over the same opposition.
