Reports are coming in about a jet boat blocking a lane near Mount Maunganui.

A police media spokesperson says the job came in just before 4pm.

"We received reports at about 3.59pm that a jet boat had come off its trailer.

"It is reportedly blocking one side of the road between Totara and Hewletts Road."

Police are attending the scene.
