Motorists are being warned to drive with caution following a two car crash on SH2 near Taneatua.

A police media spokesperson says the crash has happened near Stanley Rd.

"Police were called at 9.42am to reports of a two car crash on SH2 Taneatua."

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the crash appears to be serious.
