A person is fighting for their life following a truck crash this afternoon.

Emergency services are in attendance at a serious crash on Rotowaru Road in Glen Afton, Western Waikato.

A truck rolled around 2pm near Inglis and Hangapipi Roads, says a police spokesperson.

"The driver is in a critical condition and the road is currently blocked with diversions in place.

"Serious Crash Unit is on the way."
