One person has died following a collision between a car and a truck in Otorohanga.
The crash occurred on State Highway 3, near Awatane Road, shortly after 11pm.
A woman — the car's front seat passenger — died at the scene, says a police spokesperson.
"The male driver was seriously injured and taken to Waikato Hospital.
"The truck driver was uninjured."
A Serious Crash Unit investigation is now underway.
